As a previous intern for KRX Firm, a marketing and consulting firm, I was able to learn ways in which to implement my degree in marketing. When I first joined such a prominent firm, I was hesitant and discouraged. Because I did have the academic tools to commit and thrive in such a job it was different because being in the industry is the opposite of being in college. As an intern, I wrote assigned blogs once a week discussing different topics about the firm from promoting clients, marketing techniques, and more. I came to learn about different social media marketing platforms such as Instagram post manager, Planoly. To add on, learning about the multiple features of the graphic design platform, Canva, had been a daily task of mine while creating graphics. Apart from writing blogs or creating graphics for marketing purposes and social media platforms I created content for emails. Weekly I wrote emails for KRX Firm's subscribe email list. I did so to market the agency and the services we provided. While also informing those reading it of deals that were transpiring at the time. Before this internship, I didn’t know much about certain platforms and had never conducted emails for marketing purposes. I was able to blossom as an intern while learning and reconstructing my previous skills.
