Review: Forget Me Not is a second-chance romance novel by QB Tyler. The book follows the main characters, Olivia and Bennet Clarke. A month away from the finalization of their divorce Bennet gets into a car accident that causes him to have amnesia. Unfortunately, with two years lost he has no recollection of the separation and divorce he and Olivia are going through. Now as his caretaker Olivia must face her emotions while reliving the hurt, she has endured in the past six months.

All I have to say is I. WANT. MORE. This book was recommended by multiple people, and I was putting it off for months because it has cheating in it. If you have read my blog before you know I cannot stand cheating. But as my friend keeps telling me a book is a book that sometimes I fail to realize. I decided to take a chance and read the book anyway to see how it plays out. At the time I have never read a QB Tyler book, and I wanted to support her as the author by purchasing a book of hers due to a family tragedy.

The best aspect of the book came is when as a reader we find out he is suffering from amnesia due to a car accident he was in. I rarely read books with amnesia, and this was interesting because after waking up Bennet believes he and Olivia are still together. To me, Olivia was better than I would have been because I would have not gone to the hospital in the first place. But then again, I think to myself that they are still legally married, and she was still in love with him no matter how much she tried to deny it. I liked the scene when she

figures out that he has amnesia because he wakes up touching and talking to her in an affectionate tone. However, they are going through a divorce which he has no recollection of. Why are they going through a divorce? He cheated 😡. When she decided to succumb and watch over him as he got better, I thought she was weak 🤷🏾‍♀️. There would have been no damn way I would have done that especially because he was still s*xually involved with the women he cheated on her with. Not to mention she has a “boyfriend” sort of, David, whom she failed to acknowledge when she made that decision. Instead of watching him, I would have told him, “Let that b*itch you cheated on me with do it.” Then again, he didn’t know her either 😂.

The book overall was good, but there were a couple of issues I had with it which made me give it a 3.75/5.

First and foremost, my biggest issue with the book was the s*x scenes, which people like to call SMUT scenes. Now for me, I like a good s*x scene between the main characters, but there was too much in this book. The book consisted of past and present-day scenes. However, the past scenes were limited and not long. In the past scenes, we witnessed s*x

and present scenes we witness s*x. Even when speaking and before the two became sexually active there were talks of s*x. It seemed like Olivia couldn’t look at Bennet without wanting to rip his clothes off which annoyed the hell out of me. I was wondering how much s*xual scenes can be in a book. Then it dawned on me that 50% of the book practically consisted of sex. That kind of tells me that QB used s*x scenes to fill in plot holes and fill lack thereof plot lines. I hated that.

There were no past scenes that consisted of seeing them during the six months they were separated and going through a divorce. I wanted to see when Olivia told Bennet she wanted a divorce. Also, when he was served and moved out coming to realize they were getting a divorce. I wanted to see when Olivia scratched Bennet's mistress car 😂 not to mention when David and Bennet met for the first time. I wanted to even get a glimpse of Olivia's parents which we never witnessed. I know QB said she might go back to this, but I am not sure, but if she does, I think I would increase my rating of this book.

My biggest issue was he did not grovel enough to me. He was sorry for something he did not remember and when he did the book was so rushed you didn’t witness him groveling enough which is why I think I want to see the scenes prior to when he lost his memory. I know he kept asking for a second chance, but Olivia was bulging.

Other issues I had were small like I never knew Olivia’s age and Bennet’s was kind of confusing as well, but I do think there was a big age gap. However, the side characters I liked little to none of them that including Bennet's best friend, Wren, and his mother, Caroline. Wren constantly screamed and talked to Olivia in any kind of way blaming her constantly for Bennet's infidelity. I could not stand him. As for Caroline, she disrespected Olivia since she and Bennet started dating even befriending his mistress to get back at Olivia. Not to mention his mistress, Amanda, who was one of the most pathetic women I have seen in a book. Have you gotten a drift that every single charater I disliked has a connection to Bennet. The only person I liked was Alyssa, Olivia’s best friend, and Wren's wife. She was a great friend that held Bennet accountable while telling Olivia the truth when necessary.

But the aspect of this book that I did think was important to read about was infertility. Many women suffer from such, and it does create issues in marriages. However, Bennet's response was terrible, and I would have never given him a second chance, but she did. The ending was nice but extremely rushed showing there future.

This book wasn’t horrible I liked it and cheating second chance books became my guilty pleasure after reading this book. It's just I expected more, and we didn’t get that. If some of the sex scenes were taken out and filled with past scenes or more, it could have been better. I am hoping QB Tyler goes back to Olivia and Bennet because maybe I will then root for them. But, for now, I am not Team Bennet 🤣.

I do recommend the book and would hope people come up with their own opinions about it. I want to hear multiple people's views and opinions on the matter of cheating, infertility, and more.
