If you are an introvert like me then you know the quote, "Introverts don’t need to be cured. They need to be left alone," is a true testament to who we are. Watching movies and shows is a daily task of mine when I am not reading, writing, or working. Instead of going out, unless to the movies or a restaurant, I prefer to stay at home in my pajamas while eating
popcorn and watching the latest trending show or movie. There is nothing wrong with going out I am usually just a conservative person that stays away from large crowds where I won’t fit in. People often complain about the amount of streaming service available, all with different price points, which I understand. But, I love them because with so much material available, in the form of movies and shows, I can watch such on my computer, phone, or TV. Since I can watch them on different technological devices such as my phone, I am able to watch what I want when I want at any point of time in the day. That is what makes them the best 🤣! Since in my household I am the only person with such a personality I don’t often talk to anyone about what I watch. I have to wait or find someone that shares the same interest as me.
That is why I am happy to do this blog on the regular basis based on movies and shows. I can share my views and personal thoughts on such pieces with you as readers and recommend them if you have not watched them yourselves. I will also have a rating of both movies and shows based on a scale of five with five being the highest and one as the lowest. You can see the chart down below which you can refer back to each time when you read my reviews.
Prior to doing a deep dive into the review I will tell the genre of each movie or show at the top. I know certain individuals stay away from certain theme so out of respect I will definitely tell such.
For shows I will either rate each season as a whole or sometimes go off the radar. When I say that I mean I will review individual episodes at certain points in time if they really stand out to me. To add on, I will develop list stating my least to favorite seasons or my top five seasons of a series. More will include list of my favorite shows that can broadcasted on a multitude
of different platforms. As far as ratings I will use the symbol of popcorn (🍿) instead of stars to represent the scale and as I said five is the highest score a show can receive.
Just like shows I will do the same with movies, but of course frequently movies are standalone. In comparison to shows I as well will do list pertaining to different topics: favorite childhood movies, least to favorite movie part of a franchise, and more. For the ratings I will use a symbol of tomatoes (🍅) in order to have a connection to the rotten tomatoes rating system with five as the highest.
Overall Ratings Breakdown:
TV Shows Rating:
🍿 -- 1: The season had absolutely no plot at all and finished with unanswered questions. There was no character development that had a lackluster feel which made me as viewer want to discontinue watching it.
🍿🍿 -- 2: There was definitely potential and a clear motive of the plot, but unfortunately the season fell short. Finished just to see the ending, but even that wasn’t the best at the end.
🍿🍿🍿 -- 3: Season was good enough to keep my attention span the whole time, but wasn’t the best. The ending was abrupt with answers still needed for the plot.
🍿🍿🍿🍿 -- 4: Really good season with just as good characters available. Also, the plot was great telling a story that could have added more, but was good enough for me.
🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 -- 5: The show I have ever seen regarding the season. There was absolutely nothing I would change. The characters, plot, and time pace was excellent making me sit on the edge of my seat the whole time!
Movie Rating:
🍅-- 1: Boring film that I wasted my time watching. The story, acting, and more was terrible and left me begging for it to end.
🍅🍅 -- 2: Had potential to be a great film, but the writers missed the mark of it being so. It was not terrible, but it wasn't good and nowhere near excellent.
🍅🍅🍅 -- 3: The movie was good and that is it, but wouldn't watch it a second time at all unless forced to.
🍅🍅🍅🍅 -- 4: Great film with a plot that left me wanting more and could have added more, but there was enough that left me satisfied. The actors portrayal was great and probably made me a fangirl 🤣!
🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅 -- 5: My all time favorite movie that I have on repeat. Much like four the plot, characters, and acting were great. It left me wanting more, but with enough!
I am so excited about my reviews to come for this blog and I hope I can interact with people
on the regular. If you have any movie or show recommendations for me don't hesitate to contact me. You can do so by going to my contact page and doing so through one of the provided platforms!
